Another kind of visit!

Somewhere in the same years of 1960 and '61. I was hospitalized for a serious throat infection and was in isolation. One night as I lay in the hospital bed there began a intense storm with loud thunder (I was never afraid of storms) and I could see out of the window from my bed. There was a sub roof or courtyard outside my window. Suddenly, there was a brilliant flash of light which I assumed was lightening and I saw several of what I then described as "little boys" with what I called "bats" in their hands and they were heading towards me. I jumped out of bed and ran to the nurses station and told them about it. They said I was halucinating and told me to go back to my room. I refused and wound up staying with them until morning

Was I halucinating or did I see what I saw???
