One of my favorite passions is fishing. During the mid '90s in the hot summer I was night fishing on Belle Isle (an island that sits in the Detroit river between the United States and Canada) wading the shoreline facing the city of Windsor, Ontario spin casting for Walleyes (Pickerel). It was around 1:30 am and there was a "light show". The term light show refers to flashes of lighting without thunder or rain. The lightening was of the blanket type which lights up large portions of the night sky. I would cast and look at the cityscape of Windsor during retrival of the cast. During a series of blanket flashes I could see the cloud banks over Windsor very clearly. Suddenly a huge green sphere came out of a cloud bank and veered to the right and entered another cloud bank. I was stunned and amazed at the size of this sphere.
I had the immediate thought that it was a vehicle of some sort and moved as if it were piloted.
A type of lightening?? Science says there is a such thing as ball lightening but it is a rare ocurrence.
